Description
Poll Everywhere is an interactive audience participation application that instructors can use to poll their students using a variety of technologies including smartphones, tablets, or laptop. Poll results can then be linked to assignments in Blackboard and be incorporated directly into Grade Center. Facilitators in this hands-on session (in which attendees are encouraged to install the free app and take part) will discuss both the technical implementation of Poll Everywhere in an educational setting and most importantly the pedagogical utility of using Poll Everywhere to foster an active learning environment to engage directly with increasingly distracted students. Attendees are encouraged to bring their smartphones!
