Viruses are no strangers to our lives, they make us sick and fearful. There are many of them and no matter what we do, there is always a new one lurking around. Viruses are rarely described as useful, however, knowledge about viral processes and many viral components have been utilized to advance scientific research and solve practical problems. Selected virus-based technologies relevant to human health will be highlighted to demonstrate the benefits of harnessing the power of viruses.
