For pre-service teachers, there are a myriad of feelings that are felt on the first day of placement, the strongest one being nerves. This can be alleviated by providing students the opportunity to practice teaching in classrooms during their Strategies course. This talk will focus on the experiences of 10 pre-service English teachers during their Strategies course which was held at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Spring 2018.
