Description

In the fields of education and psychology, performance feedback is a well-researched, evidence-based practice for improving educators’ implementation of interventions and treatments in schools and clinics. Performance feedback involves reviewing (a) components of an intervention done well, (b) components of an intervention in need of improvement, and (c) securing a commitment from the implementer to improve his/her practice and reach predetermined goals. This general process may be applied to helping the students at Bridgewater State University in a variety of contexts. This submission is to propose either a research talk or a roundtable discussion during which the presenter would highlight relevant research related to performance feedback (including her own), provide a practical example of performance feedback (complete with materials), and encourage attendees to apply this process to their work with students in the context of their courses and/or research.
