Description

Many faculty have navigated through their professional responsibilities to achieve a sense of balance and success at Bridgewater State College. Some of these faculty, contributing members of the Faculty Advocacy Network (FAN), will facilitate small group discussions about adjusting to faculty life. Questions for consideration include: 1) Are there any secrets to surviving and adapting to the campus in your first few years?; 2) What changes, if any, do you perceive in your role as faculty after tenure and/or promotion?; 3) What are your greatest frustrations in trying to balance your role in academia with your role outside academia?; and 4) What strategies (successful or not) have you tried to reduce this source of frustration?
