They traveled across the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean from East Africa to predominantly the western states of India. To this day the Sidis still preserve much of their physical African features, their original cultural practices and music and dance forms. The film is a documentary on the music and the interrelated cultural practices of the Sidi people.
