Project Description/Abstract
This fall, the College Chorale students are exploring music by living American women composers. Included in this program will be the premiere of a new work by the New York-based composer Joelle Wallach. This great honor allows us to bring new music to the community, to work with an active composer, to learn about the varied musical styles of living musicians, and to bring the composer to the campus to work with the students and faculty in a variety of venues: classes, workshops, and rehearsals. This grant would help defray travel, publicity, and performance expenses.
