Interviewed by Ellen Dubinsky at the John Joseph Moakley Center for Technological Applications, Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

The interview covers the early years of the varsity football program at Bridgewater State College in the mid- to late-1960s. The subjects detail their experiences as football players in those years, reminiscing about many of their fellow athletes, specific games played, their training and practice experiences, and the reception of the Bridgewater campus community to the football program. The interview includes discussion about the team’s first coach Edward Swenson and his successor Peter Mazzaferro. The subjects also relate some of their memorable experiences as Bridgewater State College students in the mid- to late-1960s, including a growing awareness of the Vietnam War and social movements of the time.
