Grant writing is a special kind of writing, and can be an intricate and long process. This roundtable discussion will shed light on the important issues surrounding the writing of grant proposals for both internal and external grants. Discussion topics include an overview of the grant writing process, reviewing guidelines, developing a proposal team, writing to the guidelines, avoiding common mistakes, collaborations, utilizing peer reviewers, and understanding review panel perspectives—the “ins and outs” of the successful grant writing process.
