Description

In addition to anecdotal evidence, empirical findings demonstrate that males are significantly less likely to access and utilize healthcare than females. Several sociocultural theories exist that try to account for this; however, using theories to improve access and utilization of healthcare, particularly preventative healthcare, may prove more impactful for male health. This poster will explore the strongest predictors of male avoidance of healthcare. Clinical implications will be discussed.
