Description
In Fall 2013, Physics of Music was launched. PHYS-108 is a team-taught interdisciplinary course covering the core curriculum’s requirement for Qualitative Reasoning and a Physical Science with a Lab. This course features professors from two different colleges (Humanities and Social Sciences/Science and Mathematics) in the classroom at all times offering and supporting very different points of view. The two professors responsible for its creation, development and implementation would like to discuss how this course came to be and the challenges/rewards of working in a co-teaching environment – particularly a course presenting truly interdisciplinary subject matter.
