Description

In June 2010, Dr. Nguyen traveled to the country of Vietnam and visited many orphanages in Hanoi, Da-Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. At one orphanage, 240 children were found with hydrocephalus, a disorder that pushes the baby’s skull to abnormally massive levels. At another orphanage, Nguyen found 323 orphans in which 74 were infants, 43 blind, 13 mute and deaf, 19 mentally challenged, 73 developmental delayed, and 101 children with other challenges. At one of many temples that Nguyen visited, 240 children were found with a wide range of disabilities including: cerebral palsy, mental retardation, deformity, blindness, muteness, deafness, HIV, AIDS, and affected by Agent Orange. Reverend Edward Hardy at First Parish Bridgewater has offered to help. Please stop by to watch our videos and let us know if you can lend a hand or ideas to help these children.
