Description

With the rise of interdisciplinary scholarship, we have seen a marked increase in teaching and scholarship along thematic, rather than traditional disciplinary lines. At BSU, sports studies has been increasing both in the classroom and in faculty research. We will host a discussion in which panelists share some of their experiences with how they got introduced to sports studies, integrated them into their classroom and/or research lives, and how sports provide a lens for examining important questions both within and across disciplines. Attendees are encouraged to share their experiences and interests, as well as bring questions or ideas for expanding their work into this area.
