Description
As part of a 2009 FLRG award, I participated in a training focused on advanced methods of statistical analysis hosted by SPSS. In this discussion, I will share information I learned at the workshop with BSC faculty who are interested in and/or in the process of conducting research in the social science areas. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in an interactive dialogue about the various stages and aspects commonly involved in carrying out advanced statistical analysis. Faculty are encouraged to share their experiences and questions throughout this discussion related to their on-going research. This session will infuse collaborative discussion with practical application of some advanced statistical methods that are most common among social science research. The focus will be placed on exploring various regression methods and cluster analysis.
