Description

Constructivism is a theory which states that individuals build their own understanding and knowledge of the world through experiences and reflection on those experiences. Use of constructivism in the classroom translates to teaching methods that encourage students to use active techniques that challenge pre-conceptions and cause reflection followed by discussion of how individual understanding is evolving. This poster presentation highlights the results produced when BSC students created concept maps illustrating their understanding of a problem-solving approach to teaching sport-related games. The process utilized for concept mapping will also be shared.
