End Time

Description
To paraphrase the Engaged Student Learning Task Force report presented at the recent Campus Summit, “when students actively and purposefully construct their own knowledge, they are building their capacity to achieve more; in order to better enable or create these conditions, faculty need more time to focus on teaching.” From an educational technology perspective, ePortfolios can be an effective component in saving faculty time.
This presentation will survey some recent literature on ePortfolios and list a few ePortfolio 2.0 products. We will indicate issues both technical and social that should be addressed for a successful implementation of ePortfolios on any campus. We will likely conclude with more questions than answers, but we will have found resources along the way. Please join the conversation.
