Description

There are currently several initiatives on campus that raise awareness of the importance of cultural inclusion in academic life. These include the Diversity Inclusion Research Institute (DIRI), the Office of Teaching and Learning, BSC Project Compass, and the Peer Cognate Professional Development Program to name a few. This panel seeks to explore, through open, facilitated discussion with panelists from these programs, how we bring the scholarship of our disciplines regarding class, race, and gender, sexuality, and disability to our students through our work in the classroom. This session will be of interest to faculty from all disciplines who are interested in thinking about new ways of reaching students through these different scholarly lenses.
