Location

Description
Some form of assessment is intrinsic in any class; every time we grade a quiz or paper, we are assessing our students' performance. Assessment is also useful on a larger scale to evaluate students' exposure to and mastery of material in a course sequence or major. A panel of faculty and librarians will briefly discuss their own experiences in assessment including methods of assessment, ways of determining learning outcomes, difficulties in preparing for or implementing assessments, and benefits of the process. After the presentations, the audience is encouraged to ask questions and make comments about assessment.
