This interactive roundtable discussion will allow participants the opportunity to discuss how faculty and staff may incorporate and handle issues related to religion, spirituality and conscience in the courses, programs and services they offer. What should be included in a liberal arts undergraduate education or a professional graduate education in relation to the variety of individual and institutional belief systems that exist? The discussion will invite consideration of theory, skills, methods and applied content. Issues of religious literacy and religious pluralism will be considered as cultural competencies. Case studies will be used to examine the teaching and learning challenges and opportunities related to this material for faculty, staff and students.
