Plenary 3: Redistributing Faculty Workloads: What are Reasonable Expectations for Faculty Lives?

Location

Moakley Auditorium

Start Time

17-5-2007 9:00 AM

End Time

Description

BSC is considering a change to University status that would include a redefinition of the 4-4 teaching load, where the load would be met by a 9-contact hour per term course load and some form of alternate assignment. This panel presentation indicates how chairs in various departments would understand the scope of the alternate assignment. We wish to begin a discussion amongst faculty regarding what should be considered reasonable under a 9-contact hour per term course load.
