The Journal of International Women’s Studies is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed feminist journal that provides a forum for scholars, activists, and students to explore the relationships among theories of gender and sexuality and various forms of organizing and critical practice.

Dear JIWS authors: Our submission portal will not reopen until January 2025. We, the Editorial Team, apologize for this significant delay. We are working hard to edit special issues which have taken longer than expected to complete. We are confident, however, that we will be caught up by January 2025. Please note that we also do not accept article, essay, or creative submissions via email. Two exceptions are that book and film reviews should be emailed directly to the film and book review editors listed in the Policies/Submissions Page (see side bar). However, please wait until January 2025 to submit any new articles, essays, book reviews, or film reviews.
