Beginning in the 1960s – before Bridgewater State offered a degree program in Art – the Art Department sponsored a yearly student art exhibition. Over the years the quantity, quality and variety of artistic media have expanded, reflecting the maturation of the Art Department program and its commitment to visual arts education. Now nearing its sixth decade, the Annual Student Art Exhibit continues to showcase the creative talents of Bridgewater State students.
This selection of promotional postcards represents the progression of the Annual Student Art Exhibit. Though not always credited, the postcard graphics were often designed by a graduating senior.
