Description

Current literature indicates that students are sharing not only personal challenges that have kept them from completing assignments but increasingly significant situations such as domestic abuse. Faculty are often caught off guard and are unsure how to handle these disclosures. This workshop – which has been presented four times in Fall 2013 due to high faculty demand, and to the January Department Chairs meeting – is an opportunity to reflect on your own teaching experiences and develop strategies that incorporate campus resources for supporting faculty and students through these experiences.
