Abstract
Human resource development emphasizes the importance of enhancing the knowledge and skill level of individuals. In assisting individuals to become more capable to deal with different situations, both the organization and the employee benefit. Focused active learning represents a specific approach in applying active learning to enhance the benefits of the learning experience. The most important concepts originate from the action learning school which emphasizes positivism, learning by doing, reflection and team learning to create an environment that facilitates and maximizes the benefits of the learning experience.
