Milton and the End of Renaissance Friendship, Part Two
My 2012 FLRG allowed me prepare a forty-page overview of my book project, Milton and the End of Renaissance Friendship, and present it to the Northeast Milton Seminar at Yale University in October 2012, which was well received by the seminar participants and led me to be elected to membership of this select working group. It also allowed me to complete my book proposal and enough of the manuscript (including “Milton against Servitude” and new material on Paradise Lost) to contact the editor-in-chief at Cornell University Press, who has now asked to see the entire manuscript once it is complete. Thus this FLRG has put me in striking distance of book contract with a major university press.
