Most complaints about “tablets” have centered around either their size and weight or their inability to use software applications that are in everyday use in the classroom. The HP Slate provides one path towards solving both these issues, as it weighs less than 2 pounds and operates on Windows 7. This session will discuss the potential of the Slate and look at its limitations, using a demonstration of the Slate connected in a classroom setting via the wireless network.
