Online learning is not for every student. Pre-registration student advising plays an important role in increasing the retention and pass rates in online courses. In this workshop, we will discuss the prerequisites for successful online learning, as well as indicators that a student may not be ready for an online course. In addition, we will explore several different self-assessment tools for students considering taking an online course.
