Employee-led Workshop

This workshop will provide an overview of five promising practices for supporting the success of male students of color currently being implemented at Bridgewater State University and/or Emerson College including supporting males of color through involvement in a pre-collegiate institute; using culturally inclusive pedagogies in our classrooms; supporting queer men of color through the use of an intersectional approach to our work; developing a student group for men of color as a student success strategy; and developing research apprenticeships for first and second year students from underrepresented groups. After a brief presentation about each program, participants will have an opportunity to engage in round table discussions with the workshop facilitators and their peers from other institutions focused on these promising practices.
