Description
“Instant Traveler is a photographic project comprised of images taken at America’s popular tourist destinations during my travel over the past six years. The photographs are taken with a large format camera over an extended period of time often with as many as 20-30 negatives for each image. Seemingly recording the same landscape, each negative contains images of visitors in different positions and gestures. The negatives are scanned individually to create a single image, becoming a collection of the individual experiences of visitors for the duration of photographic process. The omnipotent point of view of photographer is transformed into the experience of the subject, however superficial it may be.”
