Description
Artist’s statement: My work involves images taken from public web cameras around the world. In some cases, the people in my paintings have no idea they are being observed by others, let alone that their image is being painted and preserved. My work functions on several levels: to question privacy and how modern technology affects our lives, and to consider technology’s influence on traditional portraiture and genre scenes.
