Description
The Perkins iron foundry as seen from the roof of the Eagle Cotton Gin Company, at the foot of Pearl Street, circa 1880. The Perkins foundry (located on Broad Street) operated for more than 150 years in the same family, producing quality iron castings of all sorts, nails, nail machinery, and piano backboards.
