Description
The O.B. Cole Apothecary and the Bridgewater & Boston Express Office were located at 18 Central Square, an area also known as the Little Commons. The Apothecary sold not only pharmaceutical items but also sodas, tonics, ice cream and food items. Cole’s also was at the time of this photograph (circa 1890), selling bicycles. The Bridgewater-Boston Express Company specialized in delivering goods around town that were brought in by the train.
