Kayla Jane Hoyt is a graduating senior majoring in History and minoring in Special Education, Secondary Education, and Social Studies. Her research project was completed in the summer of 2016 under the mentorship of Dr. Margaret Lowe (History) and made possible with funding provided by an Adrian Tinsley Program Summer Research Grant. Kayla Jane presented this paper at the 2017 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Memphis, TN.
