Author Biography
Huma Ahmed-Ghosh teaches at San Diego State University in the Department of Women’s Studies. She is on the Advisory Board of the Center for Islamic and Arabic Studies; Asian Studies Program, and the International Security and Conflict Resolution Program. Currently (2009-2010) Ahmed-Ghosh is Endowed Chair of Women’s Studies at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. Ahmed-Ghosh has published extensively on women in Afghanistan, Islamic feminisms, and on issues of gendered aging and widowhood in India.
