Note on the Author

Maura Geoghegan received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Assumption College (now Assumption University) in the spring of 2019. Maura is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) English and Secondary Education at Bridgewater State University. Her paper was completed in the fall of 2020 under the mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Davis for her Introduction to Graduate Studies in English course. Maura also presented this paper virtually at the Master’s in English Regional Conference (MERC) in January 2021. Maura teaches 9th- and 10th-grade English at Shrewsbury High School, Shrewsbury Public Schools.
