An annual yearbook for the Bridgewater Normal School began publication in 1899 under the auspices of the student group, the Normal Club. “The Normal Offering” evolved from the earlier and similarly named monthly school paper published by the Normal Lyceum (succeeded by the Normal Congress and the Normal Club). The goal, as stated in the first issue, was to “simply supply a good souvenir for students and friends of the School.”
Though the title has changed over time, students have continued to prepare and publish a school yearbook without interruption.
Digitization of the Bridgewater yearbooks was made possible with federal LSTA funds through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
