Summary
Griffith enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1968, serving in the 2nd CAG III MAF (2nd Combined Action Group III Marine Amphibious Force). He rose to rank of Sargent E-5, receiving the Purple Heart, Combat Action Medal, RVN Cross of Gallantry, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
