LaToya Staine Carriker is originally from Belize, Central America. Funded by an ATP grant, LaToya conducted this research on immigration under the mentorship of Dr. Lucinda King-Frode and Dr. Rebecca Leavitt, and presented it in April 2007 at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research and ATP Undergraduate Research Symposium.
