Description
This exhibition of work by the two artists explores memories, emotions and family bonds. Differences in their work balance similarities. Brown’s paintings on paper and canvas are bold, vibrant and spontaneous. Her works express immediacy. Prothier’s mixed media assemblages are small, muted in color, delicate and refined. Her pieces reveal a sense of remembrance.
Together, the works denote two women artists who work intuitively, creating translucent layers lined with deeply personal meanings.
