Megan Mulligan, originally from Somerset, MA, graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Sociology. She wrote this piece for a Creative Nonfiction course with Lee Torda in the Spring of 2004 and presented the paper at last year's Adrian Tinsley Program Symposium for Undergraduate Research. She is currently working on her Master s Degree in Social Work at Rhode Island College.
