Abstract
Bridgewater State University has an established Asian Studies program for about fifteen years. We have developed many student exchange and study abroad partnerships with universities in China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Cambodia, Thailand, India, and Bangladesh. Our program focuses on faculty and student engagement in all areas of studies and interactions involving academic conferences, joint research, international teaching, visiting scholars, semester/year exchange, language immersion, short-term study tours, international summer institute, undergraduate research, and service learning. We'll discuss our mission and programs in Asian Studies and how our work relates to outreach locally in New England and globally in Asia.
