As an MSCA campus, we are guided by the processes, expectations, and protections detailed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (the CBA, or “contract”) negotiated between the Board of Higher Education and the MSCA. But many faculty and librarians are unclear about the CBA and its role in their professional lives. This session will provide an opportunity to ask your union leadership about contractual rights and responsibilities related to your work at BSU. We will discuss the primary contractual articles, the benefits of full union membership, common concerns with personnel processes, governance, and general aspects of the grievance process.
