Event Title

Sustainability - Research into the Classroom

Location

Hart 115

Start Time

End Time

13-5-2016 11:50 AM

Description

Sustainability is a broad interdisciplinary field, and BSU faculty bring a wide array of approaches to their research in this area. Classes that focus on sustainability, however, share a number of features - a strong connection between the personal and the global, for example, and a focus on student engagement with the broader community. This panel will follow the research of three faculty members from three very different disciplines - Economics, Biology and English - as it makes its way from academic scholarship to the lives of BSU students. We hope to engage in a broader conversation about how sustainability research can transform our classrooms.
