This workshop will re-introduce academic departments to the process used for recruiting students to become tutors in their discipline. With the demand for out-of-class learning support increasing, the demand for qualified, trained tutors is on-going. This workshop will outline tutor qualifications, recruitment timeline, and training requirements, and will allow time for Chairs and faculty to engage in discussions of the specific needs of their departments. Materials will be provided to share with departments in preparing for building their “pool” for the fall.
