Description

Are Maxwell Library’s Services Assessable? This poster focuses on the results from a study conducted during my sabbatical in fall 2012. The study was designed to help understand if students with disability are familiar with the library's current services and resources, if additional services are needed, and if any improvements are necessary. Findings indicated that, overall, Maxwell Library appears to be satisfactorily meeting the needs of its users with disabilities, but work can be done to help foster more satisfaction and independence for these users. Better signage, fully accessible restrooms, accessible printers and copiers, and quiet individual study areas are priorities for meeting the University’s commitment to equal access and assuring its programs and services are accessible.
