Description

Ivana Damien George will give a presentation of her recently completed CART supported Faculty Librarian Research Grant, Seldom Seen. The project includes a series of photomontages depicting the endangered and threatened species of Costa Rica and the causes of their endangerment along with an 18 minute audio composition that she made using the sounds that she recorded in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Afterwards there will be a discussion with the artist about the artwork where audience members will be encouraged to share their responses to the artworks.
