The mission of the Art and Art History department is to engage students in the exploration of their individual creative and historical art interests. The faculty strives to create an environment that fosters a full range of diverse artistic expressions. The department is committed to providing a global understanding of art through direct experiences with artists, art works and architecture, as well as through the teaching of studio arts, art appreciation and art history.
