Cherylynn Silvia is an English major graduating in 2006. This piece was a final project for a class on Foucault's Discipline & Punish that became her Honors thesis under the mentorship of Dr. Kathleen Vejvoda. She presented a form of this paper at the Tolkien 2005 conference in Birmingham, England.
