Project Description/Abstract
Dr. Carson will be taking a four-week immersion course in Mandarin this summer at the Boston Language Institute. As a professor of East Asian Literature in Translation, the course will contribute, in terms of both teaching and research, in invaluable ways to Dr. Carson's professional development. Only days after Dr. Carson finish the course, he will lead a study tour to Beijing and Shanghai, China.
