Abstract

The article discusses the role of perception in children’s and teenagers’ behavior on the Internet. According to the author, online communication can heighten users' experiences of emotions and make them less likely to consider the humanity of the people with whom they are interacting. It is also suggested that the use of mobile technology in private spaces may make users feel that their interactions are also private.
